A stunning pergola walkway, festooned in roses, is the centrepiece of this year's show garden. Our three new varieties, 'Vanessa Bell', 'James L. Austin' and 'Dame Judi Dench' create beautiful focal points in each of the surrounding rose borders. A key feature is the 'Desdemona' rose hedge which defines the edge of the garden in a pretty, colourful way. We hope our garden demonstrates what can be achieved with roses, even in a small area, and that visitors are inspired to recreate some of these ideas in their own gardens.
We welcomed a host of familiar faces to our garden at this year's show, including our guest of honour, the great British icon of stage and screen, Dame Judi Dench, who we have named one of our new roses for. Dame Judi was delighted with the accolade commenting ''...would a rose by any other name smell as sweet...isn't it beautiful...''
